The Xperience office and production facility extends to 9000ft² and is located at the Invest NI, Knockmore Hill Industrial site, Lisburn. Xperience are a computer and software specialist who have expanded out of their existing premises to a purpose built facility providing flexible open plan offices and production facilities which can relate easily between the two functions.
The production facility along with conference and meeting rooms are located on the ground floor, with open plan and cellular offices located on the first floor which overlooks the production area creating a bright and airy working environment.
Direct access is via a spiral staircase providing an interesting feature within the double height space. Internally the colour scheme is generally white to reflect as much natural light throughout the building as possible, and is punctuated with strong coloured feature walls and light ash doors and glazed screens.
Externally the company corporate colours are used to full effect, with one section of the building having an orange coloured rendered finish creating a full stop to the building. The main entrance is highlighted with a double height glazed atrium having silver cladding which is continued along the first floor office accommodation resting upon a strong base of masonry blockwork. High level and vertical glazing units are arranged to suit the internal layout of the building, and borrowed light is also introduced into the building via glazed roof panels and translucent panels located in the first floor suspended ceilings.
Staff and visitor car parking is provided within the overall site in close proximity to the building, and provision has been left for future expansion as part of the client’s requirements.
